Qualification Description

The HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy) is a Nationally recognised Qualification by RTO Code 21132.
KM Training & Consulting is not the training provider. Their role is to provide marketing and referral services to the RTO.

*The allied health assistance program will train you to assist clients with their rehabilitation exercises including physiotherapy.
Allied health workers assist clients carrying out routine physiotherapy exercises in groups or individually. Other roles include helping to implement general care and assisting with ongoing therapy, as well as working with clients in recreational and leisure activities.
Allied health assistants also support people with disabilities to care for themselves and develop independent living skills.

  • Recognise healthy body systems (HLTAAP001)
  • Confirm physical health status (HLTAAP002)
  • Deliver and monitor a client-specific physiotherapy program (HLTAHA003)
  • Communicate and work in health or community services(CHCCOM005)
  • Incorporate exercise science principles into fitness programming (SISFFIT019)
  • Interpret and apply medical terminology appropriately (BSBMED301)
  • Follow safe work practices for direct client care (HLTWHS002)
  • Work with diverse people (CHCDIV001)
  • Manage legal and ethical compliance (CHCLEG003)
  • Assist with an allied health program (HLTAHA001)
  • Implement injury prevention strategies (SISFFIT031)
  • Deliver prescribed exercise to clients with musculoskeletal conditions (SISFFIT526A)
  • Conduct group sessions for individual client outcomes (HLTAHA011)
  • Instruct fitness programs (SISFFIT003)
  • Support the delivery and monitoring of physiotherapy programs for mobility (HLTAHA005)
  • Incorporate anatomy and physiology principles into fitness programing (SISFFIT004)
  • Provide first aid HLTAID003 (additional Unit)

Information

Type of Study:

Face-to-Face and Self-Directed learning: This course is delivered face to face in a classroom environment with a combination of interactive workshops in the classroom with opportunities to participate in practical application of skills and knowledge through, practical industry based simulated training activities and workplace participation

Class: Weekly

Duration: Estimated duration of 35 tuition weeks allowing sufficient time to develop the necessary skills and knowledge in each unit.

120 hours work placement in a suitable workplace e.g. aged care, home and community or community service organisation.

Entry Requirements:

To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity, prospective students need to demonstrate a capacity to undertake study at Certificate IV level, this can be demonstrated via the following and be conducted by Stirling Institute of Australia TOID 21132.

Pre-training review to ensure student has the appropriate level of Language Literacy and Numeracy to achieve the competencies. Where a test result is supplied, it must be within the last 12 months.

Basic computer skills.
